Image Points Comments
A Hidden World 6.5 The image has texture and colour.  As the only focus on the image is the texture, it might be more impactful if the texture detail is sharp..
Colorado Sky 7 Great texture on the sky.  Good to have a story on the image.  Consider moving the highlight slider in LR to adjust the overblown clouds and to open up the shadow on the background and the subjects.
Earl 7 A bold attempt.  The bottom whiskers are disappearing in the background.  Consider adjusting the highlight or texture in LR to bring them back to the image.  The part near the mouth is out of focus due to the shallow DOF.  The image will have more impact if all is in focus.  Otherwise, may be including the eye of the horse in the image for more texture and impact.
Escape Route 8 Good image with good texture and leading line and tell a story.  Suggest experimenting with the Linear Gradient tool in LR to adjust the uneven highlight on the top portiion of the image.
Fort Morgan Battery, Alabama 8 Good image with leading line.  Good texture and colour.
Magic Stargate 7 Good colour.  It is always a challenge to show sharp details on a glittering object.  Adjusting the light source or the angle might help.  Experiement with the settings using a Macro lens.
Minnie Portrait, Black and White 7.5 Image has good eye contact.  The white fur is slightly blown-out.  Adjusting the highlight in post processing might help bringout the texture a bit more.
Rough around the edges 6.5 Much texture in the image.  Unfortunately, the image is a bit overblown.  Consider lowering the highlight and white sliders in LR to recover the texture details in the bright areas.
Textured skin 7 Excellent idea to present a human hand and skin in texture.  The image will be more impactful if the texture detail is sharp.  Experiemnt with the DOF and adjusting the blown highlights on the fingers.  Maker may consider creating more emotional impact to the image with added elements than just one hand.
Weathered Clock 8 Good image with good presentation of texture.    Generally good post processing bringing out the colours and texture of the wood/rock.  The only distraction may be the highlight on the two pieces on the top right corner.  Maker may consider adjusting the highlight/colour/contrast of those two pieces separately.
Which way is the grain 7.5 Interesting way to present texture.  There is texture in the golf ball and the green.  It’s great to have a story on the image.  It seems to me however, the story is not on texture or it is too subtle.
